Yes I've also wanted a socialist elitist as a president.

I think saying Obama is a socialist elitist is a bit harsh. . . for the socialist elitist.

...but why "Way to go America!"? I don't understand that connection. If it alludes to the 'first black candidate for President" it is racist.

We would do better to choose whomever will be the better President. What race they belong to is irrelevant, at least in my book.

Besides, if we are to do the Victimhood thing, everyone knows that a victim-of-racism always trumps a victim-of-gender; and that poor white boy, Senator Edwards, hadn't a chance -- his victimhood only extending only to being poor white trash when he was growing up. Why, everything trumps that category. All Democrates knew. Even back in January they all knew he hadn't a chance.

I don't know too much about Senator Obama, so I don't know if the Democrates have chosen the best person as candidate. But I am concerned about how many express similar concerns to this blog. I fear thay have chosen based on who is the bigger victim.

Their quality of judgement, and character, and experience are far more important than where they lay on the great ouija board of Victimhood.

"The high sentiments always win in the end, the leaders who offer blood, toil, tears, and sweat always get more out of their followers than those who offer safety and a good time. When it comes to the pinch, human beings are heroic."
-George Orwell

My thought out explination of "Way to go America"

I have been following these primaries a long time. Since the beginning! It is a well known fact that I do not Bush or his policies. During these primaries I was rooting for three people. Obama and Edwards for the Democrats and Romney for the Republicans.

When Romney dropped out fairly early and McCain sealed the deal, I was disapointed. When Edwards dropped out I was also disapointed. Two of the three people left where people that I felt would not be good presidents. While I would be insanly proud to elect the first woman president, I felt that Hillary was not the right person for the job. Her campain took some serious negative turns; her inability to congratulate Obama after victories; her wacky math calculations; and her husband who made some strange remarks really made me realize that I could never vote for her.

Although the delegates where not close and it was clear to Obama and Obama supporters that he would be the nominee, having Hillary remain in the race and trump her popular vote advantage was deceitful and I felt that some people might be swayed to her argument.

When Obama finally went over the mark on Tuesday night I was extatic. I did not want to make the voting choice between Hillary and John McCain. I, for one, am glad that I do not have that choice to make.

I am also glad because I felt that Hillary would not beat McCain in the general election. I fell that Obama has a much better chance of winning; although it will be hard for him as well.

Obama is a very powerful speaker. Some may say it is only words; but words are powerful. Words inspire. I listened to Hillary's speech on Tuesday night and actually thought that it was a decent speech. However, I was disappointed that she did not conceede; I was shocked that she did not acknowledge his delegate victory; I was mortified how she kept insinuating that she would continue this fight.

After Obama's speech that night I knew it was over.

To incinuate that "Way to go America" is a racist comment is not only wrong, but it hurts my feelings.

I have made no comments as to Obama's "victimhood". If this were an election baised on sympathy for one's life than McCain would win in a landslide. Sorry, but tourture trumps poverty everytime.

So, if Hillary would have won and I posted a picture of her instead, would I have been accused of being sexist?

"Their quality of judgement, and character, and experience are far more important"

I agree. And that is why I will vote for Obama.
