Goodbye Seattle???

As the possibility looms closer and closer that we may be leaving the Emerald City, Josh and I have been thinking that we need to become Seattle tourists before residency begins. It is kind of funny that we have lived in Seattle for almost three years and our tourist list of accomplishments is very small. I have started compiling a list of must-dos, however, I would love any advice/suggestions from Seattleites and non-Seattleites.

Here is what I have so far:

1. Space Needle (I would really like to take my kids up, but if you know my kids, you would know why they would be forbidden to enter)

2. Ride the Ducks (definitely bringing the kids here!)

3. Experience Music Project (kids? no kids? that is the eternal question)

Last weekend we took the kids on a train ride from North Bend to Snoqualmie. The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast. Especially since their friend Khalila was able to come with us! Soon I will get around to posting pictures.

For those of you keeping track of our moving possibilities... So far Josh has gotten 5 radiology interviews. We expect more will come in after the Dean's Letter is released November 1st. Here are the interested programs:

Virgina Mason - Seattle, WA
University of Vermont - Burlington, VT
William Beaumont - Royal Oak, MI
Michigan State University - Grand Rapids, MI
Norwalk Hospital - Norwalk, CT

The chosen field

Just in case anybody was interested...

Josh and I have been engrossed in residency applications lately. We applied to A LOT of schools. A LOT is actually an understatement. Oh well, it is only money right?

But the good thing is that Josh finally decided on a profession. Yes, at the ripe old age of 34, my husband has decided to enter the field of Radiology. I, for one, am eternally grateful. A radiologist has about the most family-friendly hours of any physician. That is important to me! We kinda like having the guy around!

So, wish us luck with the application process. We'll keep ya posted!

Seems like I have lots of pictures that I like, but have not posted.

Best Friends

Today, right after preschool, Levi, Claire and I drove up to Snoqualmie Pass and meet Will, Luke and Leslie for our first post-move play-date. We did a short hike called "The Spook of the Iron Horse Trail." It was a short (3/4 mile) walk to an abandoned railway tunnel. The tunnel itself goes for over two miles, but since I forgot flashlights, we only went in a bit. But the boys and girl had so much fun with each other. It made me realize how much we miss having Will, Luke and Leslie around... okay, Pat too!

Here are some pictures from the day:
