Seeing these pics brings back memories from childhood of candle burning, red dye eggs and roasted lamb! Is the church you go to in Oregon Greek Orthodox or just orthodox?
Yep, this church is under the Greek Archdiocese. But, like a lot of Orthodox churches in America, the service is mostly in English. In Seattle we went to an Antiochian Orthodox church. All the same religion, just ethnic traditions vary from archdiocese to archdiocese.
This was the first year that I let my kids hold candles, and they were surprisingly very cautious and loved it!
